Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Designing molds using computer software programs, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
∎ Working with customers to determine needs and requirements, such as material specifications, product details, and production schedules.
∎ Creating computer models of products that can be used to produce molds for casting metals or plastics.
∎ Designing molds that can produce a high volume of products while minimizing material usage and production times.
∎ Analyzing materials to determine their suitability for mold construction, such as porosity or thermal conductivity.
∎ Determining the type of material needed to create the mold and calculating its size and shape.
∎ Able to work in a team and manage team of related teams regarding mold manufacturing.
