∎ Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is the leading Swiss INGO focusing on child rights. It is active in more than 30 countries with development and emergency projects. Tdh interventions are focused on the three programs: Health, Migration and Access to Justice particularly for vulnerable children. Tdh Foundation has a transversal approach towards Child Protection programming and it cuts across all the thematic areas while also has been considered as one of the key value propositions in its business model. The Child Protection expertise within Tdh Foundation aims to develop high quality, evidence-based knowledge and know-how adapted to fragile contexts, conflict zones, and development to improve the protection of children`s rights and their right to protection from all forms of violence (art 19, 34 CRC) in collaboration with and in support of the three core programs. The Tdh Foundation global strategy 2021-2024 specifies that the will have demonstrated that rights-based participation, empowerment, and active involvement of children and communities in defining and implementing responses are essential to improve child protection.

∎ Context:
∎ Tdh is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in Kurigram district, Dhaka district and Cox Bazaar district. Currently, Tdh is implementing programs on Health, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution) and Migration, integrated by the transversal expertise WASH and Child protection. Tdh interventions in Bangladesh are both in development and emergency context.
∎ Following the massive displacement of more than 800,000 people into Bangladesh since the end of August 2017, Tdh has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on Health, WASH, Child Protection and Social cohesion. Alongside, Tdh is implementing the CLARISSA project in Dhaka slums aiming to build a strong evidence base and generate innovative solutions to the worst forms of child labour (WFCL) and will explore how to take these solutions to scale.
∎ Tdh in Bangladesh has started the process of integration of emergency and development approaches and aims to capitalize its institutional learning for further programme expansion and to create critical pathways for evidence-based advocacy.

∎ Driver transporting staff ensures Tdh policies and procedures in order to guarantee the security of all staff and goods, equipment and personnel on his/her assignment area.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Transport (drive) staff and goods to the assignment destination
∎ When transporting staff ensure Tdh policies and procedures related to vehicle movement which include logistics planning and instructions.
∎ Ensure all staff and passengers put on seat belts during journey times
∎ Drive at the speed limit determined by Tdh at all times
∎ Never speak on the phone while driving
∎ Stay alert and never drive under the influence or when feeling unfit.
∎ Report immediately any incident, which involves the vehicle and/or any of its passengers.
∎ In case of an accident, immediately get in touch with the closest police station and duly inform the logistics department.
∎ Maintain the vehicle's logbook in working condition and provide thorough maintenance checks regularly. Perform daily and weekly checks of vehicles (oil, tires, fuel, etc.)
∎ Ensure accurate and up-to-date recording of all vehicle movements and have staff verify with the signature being transported.
∎ Ensure the vehicle is kept clean inside and outside with regular washing and removal of the trash.
∎ Report any misuse of the vehicle or fraudulent behavior related to the use and maintenance of the vehicle (i.e. fuel consumption, drinking alcohol, unauthorized trips, etc.)
∎ Serve as a safe escape route for staff if a situation gets unmanageable at any location.
∎ Ensure vehicle registration and other official documentation are up to date
∎ Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security of staff at all times.
∎ Carry out other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
∎ Check the goods carried from one location to another location before starting the trip. Always report in case of findings and doubts.
∎ "Tdh has zero tolerance for the consumption of alcohol when operating a Tdh hired or owned vehicle. If a driver has been found to have consumed any alcohol prior to operating a vehicle or is found to have alcohol within the vehicle they will be immediately dismissed from their position."
∎ Ensure the safety and FIRST AID kits.
∎ Accept other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Candidate must possess a valid up-to-date heavy professional driving license.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the Development Agency NGOs or INGOs.
∎ Must have knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair operations.
∎ Strong organizational skills

∎ Ability to maintain confidentiality
∎ Ability to handle workload pressure and deadlines
Salary: Tk. 27900 - 31248 (Monthly)
