Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology
∎ Bachelor in Medical Technology (Laboratory) would be added advantage
∎ Skills Required: ability to work as a team, Computer Skill in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Government or Development Partner agencies, In relevant field
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collect and prepare clinical samples for laboratory testing
∎ Analyze the blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures
∎ Run ELISA machine, RT-PCR machine and other essential laboratory equipment's
∎ Perform Nucleic acid extraction, master mix preparation to identify pathogen.
∎ Perform blood tests, culture & sensitivity with antibiogram and other routine medical tests compile reports and keep proper documentation
∎ Maintain essential safety precautions during specimen/sample collection, laboratory work and disposal of potentially infectious materials
∎ Maintenance of good laboratory practices, biosafety, biosecurity, and laboratory waste management
∎ Assure adequate stock (by identifying timely) and maintain proper storage of reagents, consumables, and other laboratory materials.
∎ Maintain all laboratory records
∎ Submit monthly report to supervisor
∎ Perform other tasks as and when necessary as assigned by the supervisor
