Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the implementations and monitoring of all mechanical-related operations at the site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
∎ Responsible for breaking down or simplifying construction drawings for fellow engineers and other construction site workers. They also explain safety protocols and how to technically handle the various instruments used on-site to the low-level engineers.
∎ Give counseling service to the client regarding the suitable mechanical machinery, construction materials, and the conditions that will yield a satisfactory result.
∎ To ensure the equipment is erected, pre-commissioned, tested (if required), and commissioned in accordance with agreed contracts. Coordination with equipment suppliers is an essential task during construction.
∎ Incoming Inspection - checking the dimensions of the incoming material (rather of the sample) to ensure that the material's dimensions are within the permissible limits.
∎ Proper installation, test-running, maintenance, and overall control of all activities related to mechanical equipment and facilities.
∎ Regular visitation to the construction site to monitor and resolve any unexpected technical difficulties during work is also expected.
∎ Ensure the absolute compliance of suppliers in supplying the materials and machinery needed on-site. They equally resolve any observed non-conformity shown by the suppliers when discharging their duties.
∎ Must answer questions that arise during installation, review documents submitted by the mechanical contractor to ensure that the materials that will be installed are correct.
∎ Inspect the quality of the works and make sure it is as per generally followed standards and requirements.
∎ Review the progress of the mechanical works at the site.
∎ Review the payments related to mechanical works.
