Job Context:
∎ Deshbandhu Group is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh. The Group is running its business successfully in Refined Sugar, Rice processing, Polymer and Cement manufacturing. Besides, Deshbandhu Group is also successfully operating its business in the field of Real estate and Garments Industry apart from food and beverage business.
∎ The Group is now looking for some goal congruent, pains taking, honest and dynamic officials for the above mentioned position in order to ensure the smooth functioning of business operations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Correspondence with Foreign Buyers, Suppliers, Bankers and Different Stake Holders.
∎ Monitor & manage L/C related work which includes, opening L/C and its amendment, document retirement formalities , Customs clearing and Full Shipment Follow up.
∎ Prepare documents for foreign procurement through LC under at sight / UPAS / Offshore Banking (180 Days Foreign Loan Fix from Foreign Banks) / Deferred Payment), reviewing all L/C requirements with PSI Company.
∎ Supervising the progress of shipment, clearance & delivery.
∎ Hire Trucks from Market as and when required.
∎ Developing and implementing procurement strategy & policies and forecast procurement needs.
∎ Handle total operation of Export, Import & Customs: Co-ordinate with Govt. Officials, C&F Agents, Banks & Insurance, Freight Forwarders, and Transport for Export & Import purpose etc.
∎ Prepare all kinds of documents for renewing the current license and make a grant of new License.
∎ Liaison with Government Officials like CCI&E, BIDA, DEDO , BERC, Boiler Chief Inspector Office, Home Ministry, Commerce Ministry , Industrial Ministry.
∎ Taking preparation for participating in different Government Tender.
∎ Maintain relation with C & F agents, Freight Forwarder, & transport to take all necessary steps for ensuring safe arrival -dispatch of the consignment.
∎ Responsible for freight negotiation with the local & international forwarder / shipping lines.
∎ Collect competitive price from suppliers & prepare comparative statement for management decision.
∎ Providing new sources of different material to reduce the price.
∎ Local Plastic Raw Materials Procurement from Urdu Road, Old Dhaka and from Some Local Manufacturers. And also maintain their Ledger.
∎ Foreign Spare Parts, Chemicals, Plastic Raw Materials Import Statement Maintain.
∎ Deem Export full process monitoring. (WPP Woven Bag from Deshbandhu Polymer Limited)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The candidate should have a long background working in the Group of Companies of multiple product like Sugar, Polymer, Cement, Food & beverage, Rice, Garments etc.
∎ Must have sufficient knowledge in import & export, Custom clearing & forwarding, negotiate & finalize with authority regarding Customs/Bank/Export /LC/Freight Forwarding/ C & F/ Supply Chain etc of Commercial Department of the company.
∎ Well communication & Interpersonal skills
∎ Ability to work under pressure and maintain discipline.
∎ Should have adequate knowledge in Industry Policy, Import Policy & Export Policy.
∎ Adequate knowledge on online booking, preparation and documents submission.
∎ Must be experienced in Export Banking.
∎ Capable to handle EPB related activities & Prepare document
∎ Strong communication, persuasion and presentation skills, both written and oral English
∎ Should be a good team leader.
∎ Must be computer literate
