∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify and develop reliable sources for commodity imports.
∎ Negotiate contracts and pricing with international suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
∎ Oversee end-to-end import operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
∎ Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
∎ Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and global trade dynamics to make informed procurement decisions.
∎ Monitor and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, currency fluctuations, and trade barriers.
∎ Coordinate with internal teams such as finance, logistics, and operations to align trading activities with business objectives.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies.
∎ Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement and logistics efficiency.
∎ Prepare detailed reports on trading activities, costs, and market conditions for senior management.
∎ Identify inefficiencies in the import process and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
∎ Implement best practices in commodity trading and supply chain management.
