Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement R&I strategies for new product design and improvement of existing lead-acid battery technologies.
∎ Drive innovation in active material formulation, grid alloy composition, separator optimization, and electrolyte additive use.
∎ Supervise lab experiments, pilot runs, and field testing to validate performance, life cycle, and safety.
∎ Improve key performance metrics such as charge acceptance, deep discharge recovery, life cycle, and low-temperature behavior.
∎ Coordinate with production, QC, and procurement teams to translate lab results into scalable manufacturing processes.
∎ Lead failure analysis efforts and recommend solutions for recurring product or process issues.
∎ Monitor global developments in lead-acid battery systems and introduce relevant technologies.
∎ Maintain strict adherence to testing protocols, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
∎ Guide and support junior R&I staff, technicians, and interns.
