Educational Requirements:
∎ Business Graduate from a reputed academic institution. Engineering graduates having the required Distribution & Logistics background are also encouraged to apply.
∎ Retired defense personnel who have experience working in defense fleet management as MTO will be preferred.
∎ At Least 10 Years experience (including at least 3 yrs. in a leadership role) in a large organization covering logistics & delivery management.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Transport/Logistics:
∎ Ensures the effective utilization of company resources and the availability of the appropriate amount of vehicles by helping to identify and prioritize the need for maintenance, repair, and capital improvements and managing budgets based on facilities.
∎ Planned, manage, and evaluate logistical support (including transport) operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, transportation subcontractors (hiring vendor), and customers.
∎ Guide the team to manage the maintenance log sheet of Vehicles and ensure on-time required maintenance accordingly.
∎ Supervise the team to ensure economic fuel schedule and periodical maintenance with Cost optimization.
∎ Assess incidents, complaints, and/or accidents for the purpose of resolving or recommending a resolution to the situation and submit the reports to the management.
∎ Maintain all the relevant documents/records of the vehicles and other mandated information which is required (e.g., Insurance, licenses, Fitness Certificate, route permit, budget, vehicle inspection records, fuel use, time reports, personnel records, etc.) for the purpose of meeting regulatory requirements and send the periodical MIS on time to the Management.
∎ Liaising and negotiating with different stakeholders including roads and highways authorities, law enforcing agencies, and transport providers/vendors to manage smooth operations.;
∎ Manage the procurement (hiring) and maintenance contract for vehicle fleet and monitor and manage contractors’ performance information with necessary log sheets.
∎ Manage the transportation team as part of the operation's success that covers safety health and environment both internal and external.
∎ Distribution:
∎ Review customer's order and plan and coordinate delivery activities
∎ Analyze customer orders, set delivery priorities, and make schedule adjustments to meet timely delivery goals
∎ Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the delivery & logistics team
∎ Address customer queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
∎ Ensure effective coordination with production, sales, and transportation/logistics team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
∎ Ensure optimum use of company fleet vehicles for planned deliveries
∎ Develop process improvement initiatives to achieve cost effectiveness goals while maintaining productivity and quality in logistics and distribution management.
∎ Identify resources, perform workload assignments, and provide assistance when required.
∎ General:
∎ Ensuring that all operations are carried out in accordance with laws and regulations, particularly relating to health and safety;
∎ Managing and supervising staff, organizing work shift roasters, monitoring team performance through coordinating staff training required for smooth operations
∎ Develop distribution and transport budgets and manage expenses within the budgets.
∎ Coordinate with the Finance & Accounts team regarding advance adjustments complying with the necessary protocol.
∎ Working with all areas of transport and ensuring analytical view point of transport operation and helping management to decide the right direction for cost efficiency and resource management.

∎ Age 35 to 45 years
