Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the daily operations of the distribution department, ensuring smooth and efficient product flow from warehouses to dealers and retail outlets.
∎ Develop and implement strategies to optimize distribution processes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
∎ Coordinate with the sales and inventory teams to ensure product availability and timely replenishment.
∎ Lead, mentor, and manage the distribution team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
∎ Set clear goals and expectations for the team, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
∎ Work closely with logistics partners and transport providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions.
∎ Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
∎ Collaborate with the inventory management team to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.
∎ Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory movements within the distribution network.
∎ Ensure that all distribution activities are aligned with customer requirements and expectations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
∎ Address any distribution-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring swift resolution.
∎ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards, transportation laws, and company policies.
∎ Promote a culture of safety within the distribution team, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
∎ Prepare regular reports on distribution performance, including KPIs, cost analysis, and service level metrics.
∎ Use data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in distribution operations.
