Job Context:
∎ Confidence Cement Dhaka Ltd is looking for a reliable Manager - Civil to execute construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. The chosen candidate will be responsible for Planning, organization, implementation and scheduling of the Civil -construction works of the projects.
∎ Job Location-Danga, Norshindi.
∎ Employment Status - Contractual
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Capable of Planning, Managing, Checking, Controlling, Budgeting, Cost Estimating for Effective Project Management as per Design a, Updating, Reporting All Structural, Civil works & Drawings, Corrective or modification measure if needed to ensure the quality of works at possible effective costing.
∎ Must have sound knowledge on Cement Plant (VRM - Foundation) construction work.
∎ Overall quality management and full-time supervision capacity for construction of RCC silo, VRM foundation, Factory Building, Jetty & shore protection, (RCC & Steel) work.
∎ Capable of handling, controlling and checking project stock, work approval, daily work plan and all related files and documents of project and monthly report to the management.
∎ Capable to prepare & check BOQ, pricing, cost estimation including separate BOQ for each work, Separately with BAR Chart or work schedule.
∎ Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of surveying, civil engineering, construction and engineering inspections.
∎ Any other duties assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Construction of factory building with compliance requirement, etc. Construction Monitoring, Civil Engineering, cost consulting, cost estimating knowledge, Project Costing, Project Operation, Project Planning, quantity surveyor.
∎ Good leadership, execution skill, smartness, challenges encountering attitude and ability to manage any embarrassing situation.
∎ Excellent communication skills both verbal and written & Strong communication ability with International Engineering Company.
∎ Project management and supervision skills.
∎ Should have sound knowledge on Auto CAD & MS Office application (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project)
∎ Must have background knowledge and experience on Cement Plant-VRM construction projects.
∎ Good command in English & able to work foreign experts
∎ Supervise field engineers and monitor work progress, quality and safety issues.
∎ Checking invoice that generated by contractor and follow up with the stakeholders to ensure timely payment.
∎ Able to work with tight deadline and deal with work procedure, and under pressure.
