Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kallayan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. SKUS has since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx worked in Cox`s Bazar district with children adolescents, women, and men. SKUS works to provide access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective environment, offer quality teaching/learning and increase refugee/host community participation and engagement in children`s education. Based on children`s and adolescents` rights, SKUS has established a quality learning and protection Centre with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ SKUS has an agreement with Plan International for the project of Education Cannot Wait`s Multi Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) for the Rohingya and host community at Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila in Cox`s Bazar District.
∎ SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of a Logistic and Procurement Officer for the project as mentioned above in Plan International Consortium, supported by ECW.
∎ Reportable to: Chief Finance Officer/ Finance Manager
∎ Duration of contract: Up to 30 September 2024.
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya/Teknaf, Cox`s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assists office operations within the Administrative Department, including management of all office premises, travel and logistical arrangement, procurement.
∎ Assist the admin, HR and project team in all events like staff recruitment, staff training, orientation, meeting, procurement, vehicle management, stock management,
∎ Assist and support to project team in the submission of all documents required by relevant government officials (DC, UNO, RRRC, and CiC) for project operation in Rohingya emergency response.
∎ Ensure all office equipment is in working order
∎ Collects and ensures the necessary information and documentation to prepare the purchase (Quotation Request, Technical specifications, samples ) Prepare submits bills and vouchers.
∎ Maintain property inventory list and ensure physical inventories are undertaken as required by the Administrative Department.
∎ Liaise with the other responsible departments to address issues related to personnel management and administration.
∎ Track receipt of timesheets from staff, prepare for monthly salary calculation and follow up as necessary
∎ Assist in implementing the best procurement procedures at the base to maximize efficiency and value for money;
∎ Maintain all types of registers like Attendance, Leave, Letter Issue, Log Book, Stock register.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least have 1-year working experience in emergency response program and 2 years in development sectors.
∎ Relevant working experience in Logistic and Procurement is mandatory
∎ The applicants should have experience in the areas of procurement, purchase, supply chain management, equipment, inventory & maintenance management, transport management.
∎ Knowledge :
∎ Knowledge of Inventory Management
∎ HR and Administration
∎ Skills
∎ Good oral and written communication skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Good knowledge of the local language (Chattagram).
∎ Intermediate knowledge of computer software, particularly on MS Excel, MS Word (both Bangla & English).
∎ Abilities
∎ Open to taking on additional tasks as required to meet project goals and objectives.
∎ Ability to adapt to changing situations.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Working Conditions
∎ The Logistic and Procurement Officer is based at SKUS's project office located at Ukhiya of Cox's Bazar.
∎ She/he will spend approximately 20% of his/her time in the field.
∎ She/he may have contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 55000 - 61217 (Monthly)
∎ Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience within range
