Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Arts (MA) in Information Science and Library Management.
∎ Master Degree with Honors in Information Science and Library Management from any recognized University.
∎ Candidates who have the Ph.D. or M.Phil. Degree will get preference.
∎ At least 15 years’ managerial experiences whereas 05 years as a Deputy Librarian or preferred equivalent positions at the public/private universities.

∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Library Management
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintaining overall administrative activities of the Library; develop, assesse, and implement objectives in support of the library’s strategic plan.
∎ Comply with the institutional policies and procedures; maintaining liaison with authorities to keep records of all official documents, minutes, agenda etc.
∎ Sound and in depth knowledge in the Private University Act 2010; Managing specialized library computer applications; Ensuring that library services meet the needs of users; Maintain library records and ensure it is updated.
∎ Ensuring different training services and collaborations for staff’s development; Liaison with head of the IT for implementation of identification process of new materials including books, audiovisual materials, and computer software also new technology to improve library operations.
∎ Ensuring of sorting books, publications and other items according to established procedure to shelves, files, or other designated storage areas.
∎ Guided to processing new books, inventory books when necessary; Creating promotional materials, writing reports, and maintaining files.
∎ Development of inter- Library relationship and latest techniques of Library management and best practices applicable to Library operations.
∎ Maintaining strategic plan and develop objectives for the achievement of long-term goals.
∎ Practice such other powers and perform other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
∎ AND such other duties as are within the scope of the spirit of the job purpose, the title of the post and its grading.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Must have knowledge in computer operation in office applications and other web based functions.
∎ Fundamental knowledge of library circulation processes, sorts and routes email.
∎ Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
∎ Coherent with student information systems, proper report writing, plans and budgets, student records etc.
∎ Ability to independent judgment, critical thinking, problem solutions and maintain confidentiality.
∎ Self-motivated, well behaved and humble.
