Educational Requirements:
∎ 4 years Honors & Master degree/ 3 years Honors & Master degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University.
∎ At least 3 (three) First Divisions/ First Classes/ A Grades.
∎ Ph.D/ M.Phil degree will be given preference.
∎ Candidates with 3rd class/ division or CGPA below 3.0 in any public examination need not to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct tutorials to students in the Department of Economics. This includes developing and implementing course syllabi, designing course materials, and assessing and evaluating student performance.
∎ To engage in research and scholarly activities in the Economics area of expertise. This includes conducting research, publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting work at conferences.
∎ To participate in the development and revision of the Department of Economics curriculum, including creating new courses and updating existing courses to reflect changes in the field.
∎ To advise students on academic and career-related matters. This includes helping students plan their academic programs, selecting courses, and exploring career opportunities.
∎ To participate in departmental and university service activities. This includes serving on committees, attending meetings, and contributing to the overall functioning of the department and university.
∎ To stay current with advances in the Economics field and participate in professional development activities, such as attending conferences and workshops, and pursuing advanced degrees.
∎ To build partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, and other organizations to enhance the visibility and reputation of the Department of Economics. Also, work with industry partners to develop internships and other experiential learning opportunities for students.
∎ Assist in the administration of the department, such as student recruitment and retention, budget management, and accreditation-related activities.
∎ Other duties as needed to support the mission of the Department of Economics and the university.
