∎ 5+ years of professional experience of research for digital platforms in different domains of the development sector including but not limited to the domains of Health & Nutrition, Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, Education & eLearning, Livelihoods & Poverty Alleviation, Governance & Rights, Humanitarian Response, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene etc.
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English. Advanced communication skills to do effective and goal-oriented project management.
∎ Work cooperatively and effectively with clients and internal teams to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
∎ Assess crisis situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
∎ Strong problem-solving abilities and an innovative approach to challenges.
∎ Experience in architecting and designing scalable and secure solutions for various domains of the development sector.
∎ Experience in business development, sales support, or client engagement.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Research Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy to strengthen digital systems, including R&D on emerging priorities, aligning with the organization's mission and objectives.
∎ Standardization Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for digital system standardization, in alignment with the organization's objectives, industry best practices and global standards.
∎ Technical Expertise: Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in digital standards for the development sector.
∎ Standards Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and disseminate digital system standards, ensuring they meet the highest industry and regulatory standards to incorporate them in digital initiatives.
∎ Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of researchers, ensuring they are well-equipped to conduct high-quality research and meet project/organizational milestones.
∎ Project Management: Oversee research projects, from concept to completion, including budget management, timeline adherence, and resource allocation.
∎ Research Design: Develop research protocols, methodologies, and data collection tools that ensure the reliability and validity of research findings.
∎ Education and Advocacy: Provide guidance and advocacy for digital system standardization and best practices, educating stakeholders on the importance and benefits of adhering to established standards.
∎ Data Analysis: Analyze research data using statistical tools and methodologies, extracting actionable insights that inform digital system strengthening efforts.
∎ Collaborative Projects: Collaborate on projects involving the integration of standardization into digital solutions and systems.
∎ Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, development partners, different service providers, government agencies, and technology partners, to foster a collaborative research environment.
∎ Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of research project and in-house R&Ds for developing knowledge products and guidelines to adhere with for program and technology teams.
∎ Report Writing: Develop need specific and project deliverables specific reports to keep the organization and key stakeholders informed about ongoing project activities, risks, challenges and outcomes.
∎ Knowledge Dissemination: Publish research findings in reputable journals, present at conferences, and engage in knowledge-sharing activities to drive thought leadership in the relevant digital field.
∎ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that research activities adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines, safeguarding the rights and privacy of research participants.
∎ Grant and Proposal Writing: Identify and secure funding opportunities, and contribute to the development of grant proposals and research projects.
∎ Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in the relevant digital system strengthening to inform research activities.
