Job Context:
∎ The central laboratory of Relief International is serving patients seeking health care services from RI clinics; it also serves as a referral facility for other national and international organizations. Highly professional and talented Lab Technician with at least 3 years of experience in performing routine tests or analysis on blood and other body fluids to record normal & abnormal findings. Possess exceptional communication, documentation, team-work and time-management skills along with thorough knowledge of laboratory procedures and related equipment as well as health and safety regulations.
∎ Duty Station: Ukhiya Specialized Hospital, Ukhiya, Bangladesh
∎ Report To: Pathologist
∎ Expected Start Date: TBA
∎ Contract length: Five and half Months.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the guidance of the Pathologist, the Laboratory Technician will be responsible for-
∎ Receiving, processing and analyzing samples.
∎ Conducting tests on samples and experimental processes.
∎ Using, cleaning and maintaining various types of equipment.
∎ To adhere to the administrative and technical procedures in the laboratory.
∎ To record the receipt and results of all laboratory specimens and to ensure timely delivery to the Medical Doctor.
∎ To collect and supply laboratory data as required.
∎ To strictly follow health and safety procedures.
∎ To identify and possible improvements to laboratory services.
∎ To be responsible for the monthly lab request and to ensure a sufficient supply of laboratory reagents and materials and to maintain a stock control register.
∎ Any other assignment depending on the kind of the business.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least (3) years' experience in a laboratory.
∎ Previous experience of international organization is an advantage.
∎ Computer skills: Microsoft word, Excel, Power point.
∎ Ability to deal with emotionally charged situations.
∎ Excellent team working skills.
∎ Interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Strong observational skills.

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one Gross salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly Gross salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary
