Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare SOP for specimen storage and handling, lab test procedure.
∎ Performing & preparing specimen for molecular testing.
∎ Efficacy in molecular techniques- nucleic acid extraction (both manual and automated.
∎ Perform data analysis, interpret test results, and generate reports in time
∎ Standardization of assays, documentation, and troubleshooting of all lab equipment.
∎ Preferable experience in cost minimization in lab operations
∎ Ensure effective maintenance, repair and safety of all analytical equipment and instrument in the department.
∎ Arrange training for lab employee to increase their efficacy. To review and where appropriate develop operational policies and procedures to ensure effective working arrangements.
∎ Communicate in a friendly, helpful and non-prejudicial manner in your dealings with all staff or customers at all times. You will be regarded as a representative of the department as well as the Company, and you should behave accordingly. To behave in a professional manner and co-operate with all other members of staff at all times.
∎ Matters regarding patients and your staff are Confidential and must not be discussed except in the course of your duties. You are expected to sign an undertaking to observe all patient and company confidentiality.
∎ Ensure stock available of all required reagents and lab accessories.
∎ Ensure error free and quality report generation. Assessing calibration, control, and acceptability of analytical runs for all laboratory data.
∎ Ensure laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests and its waste management protocol.
∎ Inform to the supervisor for any kind of abnormal findings/test conditions required for specific attention of the supervisor and resolve problem immediately.
∎ Ensure proper documentation as defined in the standard operating procedures
∎ Responsible to maintain Quality Management System & maintain the technical record
∎ Any kind of task assigned by Management time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Candidates having working experiences in any modern private hospital/diagnostic center will be preference
∎ 5 to 7 years of experience in Pathology lab in molecular diagnostic department.
∎ Should have experience of handling his/her department independently with all compliances.
∎ A suitable candidate must be presentable with decent communication skills
∎ Computer and systems proficiency, specifically with MS Office systems, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as laboratory management systems
∎ Possess strong leadership qualities and able to lead manage a team within the department
∎ A team player and work well with staff of all levels and under pressure
∎ Able to commit 3 years contract and willing to work shifts and flexible hours according to the department requirements, as decided by management.
