∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ 12+ years of experience in laboratory settings, with at least 2 years in a Head of Lab Operation or management role.Proven experience in a specific research area relevant to the lab’s focus (e.g., molecular biology, pharmacology, clinical research).
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Leadership and Management:Supervise lab personnel, including scientists, technicians, and interns.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Conduct training and development programs for staff.Operational Oversight:Manage daily lab operations, ensuring efficient workflow and uninterrupted service.Schedule and prioritize lab tasks and experiments.Maintain inventory of supplies and order materials as needed.Compliance and Safety:Ensure adherence to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.Implement and maintain quality control measures.Technical Support:Provide technical guidance on laboratory procedures and methodologies.Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper maintenance.Oversee data management and record-keeping for experiments.Communication and Collaboration:Liaise with other departments to support interdisciplinary projects.Prepare and present reports on lab performance and project outcomes.Participate in meetings to discuss project status and forecast requirements.Research and Development:Support ongoing research initiatives and contribute to experimental design.Monitor industry trends and advancements to enhance lab capabilities.
