Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct floor monitoring and report any issues to the Supervisor/IC during routine visits.
Take preventive measures to reduce fire risks and assist in firefighting and emergency rescue if required.
Check fire safety equipment (extinguishers, hose boxes, hose pipes, landing points, and exit sign lights) to ensure they are in proper condition and placed correctly; report any discrepancies to the Fire Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness of all fire safety equipment.
Ensure all emergency exit routes are clear and unobstructed; coordinate with concerned personnel and inform the EHS Officer and Fire Supervisor if needed.
Monitor and ensure that unnecessary electrical appliances are switched off.
Perform fire watch duties during hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding.
Assist in the operation of the fire pump when required.
Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the authority.
