Responsibilities & Context:
∎ In collaboration and under the direction of Project Manager/Nutrition Specialist, the IYCF Counselor will perform:
∎ Develop a work plan to improve IYCF practice per national guidelines and provide technical guidance for nutrition.
∎ Perform appropriate assessments of IYCF needs and malpractices, analyze the data, and make clear recommendations.
∎ Build the capacity of CHV Supervisor and CHWs on community IYCF counseling techniques and ensure their consistent application.
∎ Provide appropriate counseling for pregnant and lactating women or caregivers on Breast Feeding, Complementary Feeding, Maternal and Child Nutrition, Hygiene Practices.
∎ Document case studies regularly and share them to the management for official documentation.
∎ Ensure to build the capacity of CHV Supervisor and CHWs on the community IYCF counseling techniques and ensure that the appropriate techniques are applied all the time.
∎ Produce a monthly report regarding IYCF activities and submit it to the Nutrition Specialist on time.
∎ Maintain close communication and work as per guidance of Nutrition specialist and project team.
∎ Know, understand, and comply with all the policies of RTM International including HR Policy, PSEA, Code of conduct and Work place policy
∎ Any other task assigned by the authority
