Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac),
  • and basic networking.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Ability to install, configure, and update applications, operating systems, and lab
  • equipment.
  • Knowledge of antivirus, data backup, and system security practices.
  • Familiarity with LAN/Wi-Fi configuration and basic server administration

Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant IT support or lab assistance experience preferred.


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Provide first-line technical assistance to end-users
  • Provide daily technical support to students, staff, and faculty in the IT lab
  • Maintain and update lab systems, software, and hardware
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and projectors
  • The installation and updating of operating systems, applications, and security patches.
  • Support users with common software, such as MS Office, email, ERP, CRM, etc.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to antivirus, backups, and system
  • performance.
  • Support connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, remote access).
  • Escalate complex network/server issues to senior IT staff.
  • Reset passwords and support login/access issues.
  • Log support requests and resolutions in the ticketing/helpdesk system.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents to higher-level support teams.
  • Track and manage IT equipment, licenses, and accessories.
  • Ensure proper setup of new hires' IT equipment and recovery of assets during offboarding.
  • Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and migrations as required.
  • Perform routine system checks, maintenance, and preventive measures.
