Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters from any discipline. (Educational qualification may be relaxed for experienced candidate).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the overall management day-to-day port operations.
∎ Efficient functioning of all port operations cost effectively without service failure.
∎ Tracking arrival and sailing of vessels and its timing including pilot boarding time.
∎ Coordinating with Berth Operator, Shipping Agents, MLO and depot for timely operations.
∎ Implementation and follow up of operational strategies and finding out the deviations/lacking and taking corrective measures to ensure evidence based operations.
∎ Taking care of the Port Team and train, develop, attendance, recruitment and mentor them to fulfill their operational responsibilities.
∎ Planning, organizing, directing and carrying out departmental compliance as per Quality Management procedures
∎ Tracking the company trailers in the Port Terminal and arranged quick loading either with empty or laden container.
∎ Participate in the Meeting with Port and Customs as and when required.
∎ Supervise the team regarding the following issues:
∎ Submission/Issuance of Challan, EIR, carrying out Port and Customs formalitiesfor entry or exit of any container to and from Port
∎ Submission of daily reports to Port and Customs authority,
∎ Up-date CTMS of both VOLSL & Port for the movement of containers to and from Port.
∎ Quick Gate pass for entry or exit of company trailers.
∎ Checking of seal of all import laden & export laden containers prior to lift onto trailer and entry into port respectively.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum Five years experience in performing above responsibilities.
∎ Ability to work hard and coordinate with higher Management.
∎ Problem diagnosis and solving ability in technical aspects with appropriate knowledge.
∎ Proven Experience in performing the said responsibilities.
∎ Good writing and oral Communication skills particularly in Bangla and English.
∎ Motor bike driving ability is required.
∎ Candidate has to be self-motivated, highly productive and with a reliable working attitude
∎ Must have the ability to work under pressure
∎ Excellent public relations and decision making ability
∎ Well versed in computer operation
∎ Have Leadership, Negotiation and Management skills.
Salary:
∎ Monthly BDT 20,000/= to 30,000/= (Salary package shall be negotiable based on experience).
