∎ Diploma in Mechanical
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Responsible for optimizing the allocated manpower, material and equipment for assigned projects
∎ • Arranging tools. Reading shop drawings and sketches. Checking alignment of ducts & supports.
∎ • Checking and installation as per approved drawing & method statement for all HVAC systems.
∎ • Assisting for TAB.
∎ • Protecting installed services. Housekeeping.
∎ • Connect duct and chilled water/refrigerant piping to AHUs.
∎ • Connect ducts to Fans.
∎ • Install different kinds of piping networks related to chilled water, hot water, condensate drain etc.
∎ • Install refrigerant piping networks related to DX units, AHU’s, CCU’s, Cold stores etc.
∎ • Good Knowledge on material shifting/rigging
∎ • Installation in non-conventional areas like high ceiling/double height
∎ • Installation of HVAC equipments.
∎ • Safety responsibility/management/awareness PPE Supply and upkeep for self and others Method Statement management
∎ • Tool Box talks - planning and delivery
∎ • Productivity targets - Management / review / reporting
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ must have experience on Singapore based
∎ • Responsible to the appropriate Supervisor, the HVAC works within his area of responsibility to organize and supervise the work for his staff. Also coordinates activities with administrators, supervisors, technicians, other workers, and performs work within his trade certification when required.
∎ • Able to individually supervise & perform tests required after services installations like pressure testing, chemical cleaning, hydraulic tests, pneumatic tests etc. for piping networks.
∎ • Leakage tests for ducting networks.
∎ • Should have pre commissioning knowledge.
∎ • Ensuring Zero rework by closely monitoring the work on site to train less experienced operatives in key aspects about his trade enhancing the skill levels within his gang.
∎ • Lead by example for his gang in all disciplinary manners. (i.e., time keeping / safety etc)
∎ • Allotment of work to Asst Foreman and below technicians
∎ • Keeping attendance track records and production records on site
∎ • To write the Daily Charge Hand Report in the correct manner and in legible script.
∎ • Ensure all his operatives are available at work place all the time, doing headcount at start of work and after all breaks. Maintain discipline, understand and implement site rules. Ensure all operatives have correct minimum PPE and they are using the same properly.
∎ • Ensure tools, small plants using in site are at good condition fitted with guards where appropriate.
∎ • Ensure operatives using tools, plants machinery is trained and competent.
∎ • Discussion about site issues for removing bottlenecks to proceed the installation. Handling a team 15 to 20 workers or more if required. Distribution of jobs.
∎ • Monitoring job completion and inspection coordination. Training to workers.
∎ • Reading coordination drawings/Checking installation as per the approved drawing and method statement.
∎ • Teaching good practices for installation. Protecting installed services
∎ • Monitoring effectiveness working on site of his team and ensure they are productive
∎ • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with other workers, suppliers
∎ • Ability to test HVAC equipment using the prescribed pre commissioning tests as per manufacturer and designers.
∎ • Estimate time, materials, equipment and manpower required to complete projects safely and efficiently through the entire cycle of work, from beginning of estimate to completion of project.
∎ • Ability to supervise the work of others.
∎ • Read and interpret plans and specifications.
∎ • Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
∎ • Communicate clearly and effectively with workers and non-construction related personnel both verbally and in writing.
∎ • Perform duties in compliance with safety regulations.
