Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee day-to-day recycling hub operations, including collection, sorting, segregation, and processing of recyclable materials.
∎ Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including labor, equipment, and facilities.
∎ Monitor and maintain quality standards in recycling processes.
∎ Develop and implement operational workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
∎ Lead, train, and manage a team of employees, including warehouse staff, drivers, and sorters.
∎ Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations.
∎ Foster a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.
∎ Manage the hub's budget and operational expenses.
∎ Oversee labor payments and ensure timely disbursement of wages.
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance profitability without compromising quality.
∎ :Manage incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
∎ Coordinate with suppliers and clients for timely deliveries and pickups.
∎ Ensure the availability and maintenance of necessary equipment and vehicles.
∎ Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and safety standards.
∎ Promote and implement sustainability initiatives aligned with the company’s goals.
∎ Maintain records and reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
∎ Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, sales, and logistics, for seamless operations.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, vendors, and recycling partners.
∎ Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
∎ Monthly KOBO Toolbox reports on materials collection, waste worker and RBU information.
