Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Aid patients with the maintenance of hygiene and related activities;
∎ Helping nursing and medical staff as and when required;
∎ Organizing medicines, logs, and reports of patients;
∎ Assist patients in and out of taxis, ambulances, or cars;
∎ Transfer patients' files and x-rays between departments, and specimens to laboratories;
∎ Transport specimens to laboratories;
∎ Provide comforts to the patients and doctors e.g., tea, coffee etc.
∎ Assist in the maintenance of stocks of linen and non-medical supplies;
∎ Assist in lifting and turning patients, transporting them in wheelchairs, stretchers, or on movable beds between wards and departments;
∎ Clean equipment in the pan room such as pan trolleys, buckets, pans, bowls, suction bottles and tubing, commodes, wheelchairs and seats, and rinse trays;
∎ Attend emergency calls, fi res, and other urgent situations within the center premises and patient restraint;
∎ Clean equipment in the pan room such as pan trolleys, buckets, pans, bowls, suction bottles and tubing, commodes, wheelchairs and seats, and rinse trays;
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support,guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensurethe implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
