∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in transport management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
∎ Proven expertise in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
∎ Strong background in cost control, budget management and contract negotiation with vendors.
∎ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office and transport management software.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Manage and optimize transportation network across 64 districts in Bangladesh, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
∎ Supervise and Coordinate with regional service points and plazas all over Bangladesh to ensure seamless transport operations.
∎ Lead, mentor, and train transport personnel to enhance performance and service quality.
∎ Allocate vehicles and drivers effectively to meet departmental and operational demands.
∎ Develop and implement efficient transport schedules, route planning, and driver assignments, considering local traffic conditions and road regulations.
∎ Ensure strict adherence to BRTA regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
∎ Manage the transport department’s budget, monitor fuel consumption, and identify cost-saving measures to optimize expenses.
∎ Collaborate with local vendors, service providers, and regulatory authorities for smooth operations.
∎ Communicate effectively with senior management, providing reports on transport operations and addressing any issues or concerns.
