∎ Nano Solar ltd. Has been incorporated to implement solar energy based nano grid system in the off-grid region of Bangladesh. InfraCo Asia (www.infracoasia.com), an infrastructure development company based out of Singapore formed a joint venture company (Nano solar Ltd.) in Bangladesh with a local company for development & implementation of standardized 3 KW "Solar Nano grid systems" designed to cover more than 50 households each within ½ - 1 ½ km area of the installation in "Non-grid" or poorly serviced grid "equivalent Off Grid" areas in Bangladesh.
∎ POSITION SUMMARY:
∎ To be overall responsible for all aspects of the project performance; including management of the contract, cost, schedule, and interfaces with project stakeholders, as well as safety of personnel and equipment. To be responsible for all reporting to both the SPV (customer) and internal management.
∎ The Head of Operations and directs Project Managers and Project Superintendents at multiple construction sites and is also responsible for ALL operations for the construction of solar projects and personnel.
∎ The Head of Operation Function is usually located in the head office and travels to site as and when required. However, in cases of significant complexity in the local environment (at the project location), the Project Manager may be located at the project location and travel to home base as required.
∎ This is a fulltime position with an initial probation period of 6 months.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Build, manage, and communicate project schedules to the Management team, manage project timelines for each solar farm from start to finish, monitor and document progress along the way
∎ Ensure Superintendents are leading project teams, such as, but not limited to: electrical engineer, mechanical Engineer and construction worker based on weekly, monthly goals
∎ Work with engineers and electricians to ensure work outputs (CAD designs) comply with standards
∎ Efficient management of resources ensuring deliverables are achieved on time
∎ Establish the project team & Coordinate and manage project team. Ensuring to resource optimization
∎ Ensure the structuring phase are executed effectively by identifying and managing all required activities
∎ Establish a realistic, effective and robust Project Management Plan
∎ Evaluate project resource needs ensuring supply of materials and labor coincide with deadlines
∎ Stay on top of erosion and environmental issues
∎ Work with Environmental Health and Safety to maintain strict safety guidelines are followed at each site
∎ Review and approve all invoices from vendors and submit to accounting
∎ Ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget; safely and fully meet customer expectations
∎ Write site specific scope of work if subcontractor is engaged
∎ Search and create relationships with new vendors that will improve pricing and efficiency
∎ Support negotiations with Suppliers and Contractors which does not expose SSO or the project to risks, specifically quality and costs
∎ Establish a lean management structure for the execution phase, both effective and cost effective
∎ Issuing RFP's, managing the bid evaluation process
∎ Responsible to ensure a successful structuring phase
∎ Ensure the timely delivery of project documents
∎ Preparing budget and financial model. Optimise the project budget
∎ Responsible to manage the entire scope of the project and successful delivery of the project within the triple constraint
∎ Ensure accurate and continuous reporting of project progress to top management, key stakeholders and the SPV
∎ Identify contract breaches and manage project risks
∎ Manage administration and close out of contracts
∎ Manage the Company's contractual risk and ensure that risk status contractually is monitored and closed out progressively
∎ Ensure that the project teams and contractors employ due diligence with the terms, conditions, rights and obligations of the contract
∎ Conduct meetings with the stakeholders concerning contractual problems and issues
∎ Establish and updates all records of correspondence related to contract activities
∎ Ensure the Sub-EPC adherence to project processes and procedures
∎ Prepare contract change notices, monitor contract performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and EPC deliverables
∎ Ensure that SSO remains compliant to its contractual obligations set in the Project Documents
∎ Receive, assess and administrate all Project related claims and variations, including milestone payments
∎ Continuously evaluate project KPI's to ensure positive project performance and identify early risks related to the schedule and budget overruns
∎ Ensure high standards for HSE, Quality, Environmental and CSR
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10+ years management experience of managing large scale projects. Have at least 5-7 years' work experience preferably in the Renewable Energy Sector in operation. The nature of experience should be consistent with the above responsibilities.
∎ Have the ability to communicate clearly, both written and oral, in Bangla and English
∎ Good report writing skill
∎ Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
∎ Internet/email communication skills
∎ Strong organizational skills
