As we continue to expand our capabilities, we are seeking a visionary, highly experienced, and technically sound Head of Dyeing to lead our denim dyeing operations and drive the next phase of growth.
Position Summary:
The Head of Dyeing will be responsible for leading the entire denim dyeing operations, including Rope Dyeing, Slasher Dyeing, and Indigo/Sulfur chemistry management. The role requires a strategic and hands-on leader capable of ensuring maximum production efficiency, flawless shade consistency, and optimal chemical/water utilization.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in denim yarn dyeing, continuous dyeing processes, color kitchens, and modern automated dyeing technologies within a large-scale woven denim manufacturing plant.
Educational Requirements:
Must possess one or more of the following qualifications from a reputed university:
Master's Degree in Textile Engineering (Preferred).
MBA or Master's in Innovation Management / Industrial Engineering (Added Advantage).
PhD in Textile Engineering, Fiber Science, Advanced Materials, or related field (Highly Preferred).
Graduates from internationally recognized institutions such as BUTEX, BUET, CUET, KUET, RUET, AUST, MBSTU.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Denim Yarn Dyeing (Wet Processing).
Deep technical expertise in handling continuous Rope Dyeing and Slasher Dyeing processes.
Proven track record of achieving high "First Time Right" (FTR) dyeing percentages and minimizing shade variations (Center-to-Selvage, Side-to-Side, and Tapering).
Experience in working with automated color kitchens and advanced chemical dispensing systems.
Strong understanding of global buyer compliance, restricted substance lists (RSL/MRSL), and environmental sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Dyeing Operations & Production Management: Oversee and optimize the daily operations of Rope Dyeing and Slasher Dyeing units to meet production targets. Ensure seamless coordination between the spinning/warping department and the weaving department.
Shade Management & Quality Control: Maintain absolute shade consistency and continuity across production batches. Lead the troubleshooting of dyeing defects such as oxidation problems, patchy dyeing, and streakiness. Establish rigorous standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shade matching.
Indigo Chemistry & Recipe Optimization: Manage Indigo and Sulfur dyeing chemistry, including maintaining precise control over pH, reduction potentials (mV), hydro/caustic ratios, and titration processes. Optimize dyeing recipes to reduce chemical consumption while maintaining premium fabric aesthetics.
Process & Technology Advancement: Evaluate and implement advanced automation and Industry 4.0 applications in the dyeing process. Collaborate with the R&D team to run successful pilots for new denim shades, coatings, and premium sulfur toppings/bottomings.
Sustainability & Eco-Efficient Manufacturing: Drive green initiatives focused on water conservation, energy reduction, and eco-friendly indigo dyeing (e.g., pre-reduced indigo, nitrogen dyeing technologies). Ensure strict adherence to ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) and OEKO-TEX guidelines.
Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and build the technical capabilities of the dyeing production team, shift engineers, and lab technicians. Establish clear KPIs, monitor performance, and foster a culture of safety and operational excellence on the shop floor.
