Skills & Expertise

Technical Skills:

• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator (vector design, pathfinder, typography, alignment, pattern design, offset-ready layout creation).
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop (image editing, color correction, retouching, resizing, manipulation, background removal).
• Strong knowledge of CMYK, RGB, Pantone, and color profiles.
• Expertise in color separation, overprint settings, trapping, and color accuracy.
• Knowledge of CTP output, plate-making format, printing plates, film output, and pre-press workflow.
• Ability to prepare print-ready PDFs with correct export settings.
• Understanding of bleed, safe zone, margins, crop marks, and other printing guidelines.
• Familiar with lamination, spot UV, die cutting, embossing, foil print, and packaging finishing standards.

Creative Skills:

• Strong sense of typography, color harmony, and layout balance.
• Ability to generate original and creative design ideas.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and maintain design consistency.

Soft Skills:

We’re looking for an experienced Graphics Designer who has strong knowledge of printing press–related design work, color separation, and pre-press processes. The ideal candidate must be skilled in Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop, capable of designing print-ready files, and experienced in CMYK/RGB color theory, CTP/plate-making preparation, and 4-color printing.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Layout Creation:

• Create brochures, flyers, banners, business cards, packaging, calendars, books, leaflets, and all other print materials using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Pre-Press Preparation:

• Prepare artwork for offset printing ensuring proper bleed, trim marks, safety margin, resolution (300 DPI), text outlining, image embedding, and final print-ready formats.

4-Color Process Handling:

• Work on CMYK-based 4-color process design, ensuring accurate color breakdown for offset printing.

Color Separation for CTP/Plates:

• Generate clean color separations for CTP output, ensuring correct black plate, overprint settings, trapping, and dot gain consideration.

File Optimization:

• Ensure all files are optimized for printing—adjust file size, flatten transparency, embed fonts, and convert RGB to CMYK where necessary.

Press Communication:

• Coordinate with machine operators and CTP technicians to ensure the final print matches the digital proof.

Proofing & Quality Check:

• Check soft proof and hard proof to ensure accurate color reproduction before sending for final printing.

Photo Editing & Retouching:

• Retouch product images, adjust colors, remove backgrounds, enhance clarity, and prepare them for print integration.

Brand Identity Design:

• Assist in creating logos, brand identity items, and corporate design materials when required.

Multiple Project Management:

• Handle several design tasks simultaneously while maintaining speed, accuracy, and quality under tight deadlines.
