Job Context:
∎ The company is one of the largest group of companies in Bangladesh . The company operates in the field of property development & construction sector, having build commercial, residential projects & developing projects for the Bangladesh government. The group also operates one of the largest fleet of vessels within the country & consist of companies that may provide end to end logistical support. The company also manufactures & trades building materials such as stone, cement, steel, & plastic products. The founder and Managing Director of the company is a 3rd Parliamentary Member of the Republic of Bangladesh government.
∎ As the Head of the plant, you will provide leadership to all and outstanding the need of the company, while managing an industrial portfolio. You are responsible for all aspects of Planning, Operation & Maintenance.
∎ We are seeking an experienced and innovative General Manager (Plant) with exceptional business management skills, significant leadership experience and Manage the operations and maintenance staff to ensure timely production and distribution of products within quality standards, high uniformity and optimum production costs and a passion for turning around things for growth.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall cement plant maintenance.
∎ Monitoring cement production, packing & delivery operations.
∎ Responsible for maintaining and continuous improvements in quality standards of the cement plant.
∎ Reviewing cost parameters & ensuring process improvements and innovation.
∎ Responsible for all technical and quality audits.
∎ Providing technical support for all equipment to ensure proper functioning and protection against equipment failure.
∎ Supervise diagnosis of faults and arranging repair of equipment / machinery.
∎ Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standard procedures; complying with codes and legal regulations.
∎ Any other task assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ 10 or above years of experience in plant operations with knowledge of manufacturing equipment and supervisory experience in a shift work environment required. Cement manufacturing experience preferred.
∎ Strong communication skills, planning, teamwork, technical knowledge, leadership, initiative, integrity.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills in a team setting
∎ Excellent safety, environmental and quality orientation
∎ Demonstrated problem solving with the ability to make sound decisions based on a thorough analysis of available data/information, and follows up on critical issues
∎ Strong detail orientation with demonstrated planning and organizational skills
∎ Initiate action to surpass required goals, is innovative and cost and safety conscious in approach to process improvement (pro active)
∎ Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team and as a team leader
∎ Understanding of emissions effects, limits, sources and controls.
∎ Must have mechanical or technical ability in order to troubleshoot complex problems.
∎ Requires familiarity with quality control concepts.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Depending on length of experience, field of expertise, industry exposure, market value of skill sets acquired, company may offer higher compensation package than indicated above to acquire candidate`s services for full-time employment.
