Responsibilities & Context:
Dhaka Convention Centre Limited (DCCL) is seeking a competent and experienced Fire Safety Officer (Deputy Manager/Manager Equivalent) to ensure fire prevention, fire protection, life safety, and emergency preparedness at ABG Tower. The role requires overseeing all fire safety systems, ensuring compliance with Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence regulations, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining a safe environment for occupants, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate should possess a good knowledge of high-rise building fire safety management, emergency response planning, and modern fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all fire & safety measures of ABG Tower.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), Fire Service & Civil Defence requirements, and relevant safety regulations.
Monitor and maintain all fire protection systems including Fire Detection & Alarm System (FDAS), Fire Hydrant System, Sprinkler System, Smoke Detection System, Fire Pumps, Emergency Lighting, and Public Address System.
Conduct routine inspections and testing of firefighting equipment and emergency systems.
Develop, implement, and regularly update Fire Safety SOPs, Emergency Response Plans (ERP), and Evacuation Procedures.
Organize and conduct fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency response exercises in coordination with Fire Service & Civil Defence.
Ensure all fire exits, stairwells, refuge floors, assembly points, and evacuation routes remain accessible and compliant.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure fire safety compliance during maintenance and renovation works.
Monitor fire safety documentation, certifications, inspection records, and compliance requirements.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Disaster Management, or any relevant discipline.
