Educational Requirements:
∎ Bsc Engineering degree from any reputed University.
∎ Preference will be given to those completed Six (6) months long certification course from Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defense.
∎ Experienced in Fire Service & Civil Defense will get preference.

Job Context:
∎ American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), a reputed private university is looking for an experienced fire protection engineer to lead the advance fire protection system installed inside the campus.
∎ Job Location: AIUB Campus, Kuratoli, Kuril, Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assume the role of incident commander and determine an overall plan to resolve incidents until command is transferred.
∎ Direct subordinate firemen to appropriate assignment to ensure the plan of action is followed in a safe and efficient manner.
∎ Maintain that are well-developed plans for easy evacuation of people in a building in the case of a fire outbreak. Ensure that all fire and safety equipment inside the campus are in Functional always.
∎ Conduct all necessary drill and training of co-workers/employees or subordinates regularly as regards general fire safety rules/procedures of fire department.
∎ Ensures that all fire Detection & protection systems like smoke detectors; fire alarms, sprinklers, etc. all are installed properly and functional always. Also, ensure all operational fire and rescue equipment is properly inspected and records maintained regularly.
∎ Responsible for working closely with external fire service Civil departments to be able to maintain strong and feasible emergency response plan.
∎ Organize routine fire safety checks/inspections which usually cover the assessment of fire hazards, as well as ensure the safety of life and properties.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Sprinkler system, emergency exit and fire alarm, to maintain the risk of injury and loss of life and property in the event of a fire, considering both the structural integrity of the building and human behavior inside the campus.
∎ Preference will be given to those who have the knowledge of:
∎ A. Marathon motor 1250 GPM electric pump motor
∎ B. Patteson 5.5 KW jockey pump
∎ C. Patteson 1250 GPM diesel operated centrifugal fire pump
∎ F. Shield omega-x fire alarm control system
