Additional Requirements

• Experience from Bangladesh Fire Services & Civil Defense will be preferred
• Must have skill & sufficient experience to lead a fire safety team efficiently.
• Should have vast knowledge on fire safety management to ensure fire safety in a big Knitting Garments/ textile industry.
• Must be well familiar to set up firefighting equipment as per the requirement of the Bangladesh Fire Prevention Act.
• Must have experience in technical management of Fire Detection & Protection System (preparing BOQ, installation, problem solving, design drawing and RSC/Elevate Audit management) in RMG industry (Vendors and Factories)
• Adequate knowledge in NFPA and BNBC on fire safety issues.
• Former RSC Fire Safety engineers are highly encourage to apply.

Responsibilities & Context:

Daily Safety Checks:

• Conduct daily floor visits to ensure all fire and safety protocols are being observed, inspecting fire extinguishers, fire alarms, smoke detectors, hydrants, fire doors, and firefighting equipment.  

Fire Safety Monitoring:

• Regularly monitor and verify all fire-related systems, Fire equipment, identifying any fire hazard areas and implementing immediate corrective actions when necessary.

Documentation and Audits:

• Prepare, update, and maintain all documentation related to fire safety audits, safety registers, and compliance with standards.

Training and Drills:

• Conduct fire safety training and regular fire and emergency evacuation drills to educate employees on emergency procedures. Ensure documentation for both fire and electrical safety training is maintained.

Safety Committee Involvement:

• Organize and document safety committee meetings, and arrange regular fire safety and electrical safety training sessions to reinforce compliance.

Compliance with Legal Requirements:

• Ensure all fire safety measures meet legal requirements and company standards, managing documentation of fire and safety procedures, training, and equipment lists.

• Properly maintain all documents and register.
