Job Context:
∎ Prism Bangladesh Foundation (PBF) is a non-profit, voluntary development organization in Bangladesh. The organization is extensively engaged in socio-economic development of rural people. In coordination with concerned local authority Prism works in the Capital City and its neighbouring areas, Sylhet, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Jashore in managing the urban environment through medical waste management. The organization is also undertaking new projects in other districts to manage hospital waste and to improve safe access to sanitation. To carry out its ongoing development activities Prism will recruit smart, self-motivated, energetic, hardworking and enthusiastic candidates to fulfill the following positions:
∎ Employment Status: Contractual basis, approx. 01(one) year.
∎ Job Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh, preferably in ongoing projects` locations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The candidate shall be responsible for Civil Engineering and construction works of the Twin Pit Latrine construction in project locations such as Noakhali, Feni, Chandpur, Cumilla.
∎ To design, construct and supervise Twin pit Latrine construction
∎ Preparing and implementing project plans
∎ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
∎ Researching and providing estimates of the projects.
∎ Oversee and supervise the actual construction activities on sites as well provide technical guidance and expertise to the manpower in charge of the works.
∎ Monitoring and optimizing safety procedures and regulatory compliances.
∎ To protect and improve immediate environment.
∎ To perform any relevant task assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Expertise on environmental science will be considered as additional qualification.
∎ 05 - 10 years of experience in civil engineering works.
∎ Familiarity with design softwares.
∎ Ability to coordinate more than one projects at a time.
∎ Good teamwork
∎ Willingness to learn
∎ Environmental awareness

Now PRISM is working with 46,227 direct partner beneficiaries in these areas for reduction of poverty and enhancing their socio-economic condition. The program beneficiaries are mainly vulnerable landless, marginal, small farmers and women. PRISM is also working with Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka North City Corporation, Narayangonj City Corporation, Sylhet City Corporation, Rangpur City Corporation, Rajshahi City Corporation, Savar and Jashore Pourashava in developing the urban environment through Medical Waste Management. The program has been undertaken with the financial support of CIDA, WSP, WHO and the Embassy of Japan.
