Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement a strong local procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
∎ Identify opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and supplier diversification.
∎ Source, evaluate, and onboard local suppliers/vendors. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
∎ Monitor vendor performance and address any issues promptly.
∎ Generate purchase orders for required materials, equipment, and services.
∎ Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of orders.
∎ Collaborate with finance and accounts teams for payment processing.
∎ Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational needs.
∎ Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or shortage.
∎ Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
∎ Work closely with departments such as project, Operations and finance and contribute to process improvements.
∎ Uphold ethical standards in all interactions with vendors and stakeholders.
∎ Market and supplier visit.
