Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
∎ Identify potential suppliers for wood and other furniture manufacturing materials, and establish strong partnerships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
∎ Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
∎ Analyze procurement and logistics processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
∎ Implement lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance overall procurement operations.
∎ Oversee inventory levels and optimize stock levels to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
∎ Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast material requirements and maintain accurate inventory records.
∎ Conduct regular supplier assessments and performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and ethical standards.
∎ Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to proactively address potential supply chain disruptions.
