Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist the Sales Team with rate negotiations, customer follow-ups, and coordination to ensure effective service and client satisfaction.
∎ Collaborate with the Operations, Documentation, and Accounts (Invoicing) departments to maintain smooth workflow and resolve any issues.
∎ Support the Sales Team in managing client relationships and contributing to customer conversions.
∎ Maintain strong connections with local carriers and NVOs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) to facilitate seamless service.
∎ Skilled in negotiating competitive rates for both ocean and sea freight.
∎ Communicate independently in writing and verbally with customers, carriers, CHAs (Customs House Agents), transporters, and other vendors as needed or directed by the Sales Team or supervisor.
∎ Manage import/export shipments nominated by agents, including WCA and GAL shipments, in close coordination with the global team.
∎ Provide regular tracking updates to customers, as assigned by the Sales Team or supervisor, ensuring clear visibility on shipment status.
∎ Actively promote business with our network partners, including WCA and GAL, to expand opportunities.
∎ Monitor shipments until they reach the destination, providing timely updates to customers, the Sales Team, and senior management.
∎ A commitment to delivering exceptional service and understanding client needs.
∎ Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and customer interactions.
∎ Ability to handle complex situations and provide solutions quickly and efficiently.
∎ Works collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
