Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Verify and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
∎ Verify purchase requisitions and liaise with department heads to cross-check the authenticity of requisitions
∎ Ensure timely fund disbursement by issuing bank cheques
∎ Proper fund management and issuance of bank cheques accordingly
∎ Coordinate internal audits and assist the manager in running audits
∎ Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
∎ Support the month-end and year-end close process
∎ Liaise with the accounts manager to improve financial procedures
∎ Bank reconciliation and petty cash management
