Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure availability of materials required for sample product development.
∎ Maintain communication with vendors and suppliers regarding orders, delivery updates, and quality issues.
∎ Assist in verifying proforma invoices (PI) to ensure alignment with the bill of materials (BOM).
∎ Update and manage work orders in the ERP system as per requirements.
∎ Prepare various reports as required by management.
∎ Investigate and manage documents such as bill of exchange, delivery challan, commercial invoice, PI, and material receiving reports (MRR).
∎ Coordinate sample development operations and ensure supply chain perfection to meet buyer standards.
∎ Inspect and verify washed or dyed sample shades and accessory quality (e.g., thread, buttons, zippers, and labels).
∎ Understand buyer requirements and tech-packs, taking proactive initiatives accordingly.
∎ Book raw materials and accessories while maintaining regular supplier communication.
∎ Negotiate prices while ensuring material quality, lead time, and timely delivery.
∎ Work with ERP software and ensure ethical practices during sourcing while handling local and foreign buyers and accessories.
