Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Operational Management Oversee the daily operations of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure the efficient treatment and disposal of wastewater. Monitor and maintain operational parameters to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations. Manage the inflow and outflow of effluent to optimize plant efficiency.
∎ 2. Compliance and Reporting- Ensure adherence to local, national, and international environmental laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records of plant performance, waste discharge, and compliance metrics. Submit regular reports to regulatory authorities and management regarding plant performance and environmental compliance.
∎ 3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting- Supervise the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of ETP equipment and machinery. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for major repairs or upgrades.
∎ 4. Team Management- Lead, train, and supervise a team of ETP operators and technicians. Assign tasks and ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
∎ 5. Process Optimization- Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Implement cost-effective and energy-efficient methods to enhance ETP processes. Stay updated on the latest advancements in effluent treatment technologies and integrate innovative solutions where feasible.
∎ 6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free working environment. Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for the ETP team. Manage the proper disposal of sludge and other by-products in an environmentally friendly manner.
