Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Science, Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering
∎ Skills Required: Climate Change, EIA, EMoP, ESF, IPCC Scenarios
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
ADB and WB funded projects, JICA, Relevant Experience as Environmental Specialist
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Engineering Firms, NGO, Third Party Auditor (Quality, Health, Environment, Compliance
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Interpreting the Environmental Disturbance risks & Evaluation of Risks
∎ Communicating with Environmental regulatory authorities for compliance assistance
∎ Must know Environmental Impact Assessment & Mitigation
∎ Assessment due of impacts due to landslide on the environment (In Particular Built Environment), Vulnerability Assessment of infrastructure, design of Coastal protection works & other adaptation measures in Vulnerable areas.
∎ Preparation of EIA, EMP & Closure Report
∎ Prepared environmental management system (EMS), prepared occupational health and safety manual, and implement in the construction site
∎ Responsible to carry out Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental monitoring Plan (EMoP)
∎ Review relevant Environmental Act and Rules of BD GOVT., DoE (Department of Environment) Standards & Equator Principles
∎ Technical Know-how with the World Bank's ESF & Requirements of 10 ESS Standards
∎ Knowledge of Climate Change models, IPCC Scenarios & Projections
∎ Knowledge on use of the Logical Framework Approach & Development of costed time-bound action plan
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience after B.Sc in Civil Engineering will be Counted
