Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan and organise category work streams, both tactically and strategic development.
∎ Ensure that all aspects of transactional procurement of goods and services for category are achieved.
∎ Optimise total value being delivered to the end user - on time and to the required quality standard.
∎ Ensure that all aspects of transactional procurement of goods and services for category are achieved.
∎ Optimize total value being delivered to the end user - on time and to the required quality standard.
∎ Negotiate contracts with suppliers that provide best value to the business.
∎ Development, co-ordination and management of key suppliers.
∎ Ensure delivery schedules stay on plan, budget and meet specified Quality standards
∎ Risk identification and mitigation, anticipating supply chain challenges.
∎ Take ownership of supply issues, resolving them in line with business need.
∎ Recommend and implement process improvements to improve Supply Chain robustness.
∎ Drive best practice in Supply Chain and deliver continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The ideal candidate will have proven purchasing experience working within a fast-changing engineering environment.
∎ Proven track record in effective supplier development and management.
∎ Experience of sourcing and procuring electro mechanical equipment in engineering environment.
∎ Proficiency with personal computers and networking, specifically Microsoft Excel.
∎ Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements.
∎ Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Salary: Negotiable
