Job Context:
∎ Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer with a specialization in power systems, switchgear, and protection to join our Testing and Commissioning Department. In this role, you will be responsible for setting, configuring, and functionally testing protective relays to ensure the safety and reliability of our electrical equipment.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka & Project Sites
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Protective Relay Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of protective relays, power systems, switchgear, and protection schemes to set, configure, and conduct functional tests on protective relays for transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.
∎ Relay Coordination: Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure proper coordination of protective relays to safeguard electrical equipment, personnel, and the power system.
∎ Testing and configuration: Perform testing and configuration of protective relays to ensure accurate and reliable operation, and make adjustments as necessary.
∎ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of relay settings, configurations, test results, and reports, ensuring comprehensive documentation and traceability.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge and expertise in protective relay systems, power system protection, and switchgear.
∎ Previous experience (2 to 8 years) in setting, configuring, and testing protective relays in an industrial or electrical engineering environment.
∎ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
∎ Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality documentation.
