Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and finance, to determine material requirements and specifications.
∎ Identify and evaluate local suppliers/vendors, conducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
∎ Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions, including price, lead time, and payment terms.
∎ Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
∎ Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery, keeping internal stakeholders informed of any delays or issues.
∎ Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct inspections and quality checks on incoming materials, resolving any non-conformities with suppliers.
∎ Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital, conducting periodic stock reconciliations and implementing appropriate inventory control measures.
∎ Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the local procurement process, identifying cost-saving opportunities and streamlining procurement activities.
∎ Stay updated with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory requirements, making recommendations to optimize procurement strategies.
∎ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
∎ Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and training as required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 years of experience in local procurement/purchasing roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
∎ Strong knowledge of local supplier networks and markets for electrical components and materials.
∎ Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications, and the ability to assess supplier capabilities accordingly.
∎ Proven negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms.
∎ Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for efficient procurement management.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
∎ Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
∎ Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
∎ Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
