Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for and specializes in electrical connection, installation, alteration, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of main and branch circuits of interior and exterior electrical systems.
∎ Repairs power distribution, transformer, Sub-station, emergency generators and other miscellaneous electrical components.
∎ Performs planning, commission of new construction and renovations of electrical systems and equipment which requires being directly involved in calculating and balancing three phase panel loads.
∎ Reads electrical diagrams, wiring schematics and other drawings.
∎ Compiles documents, analyzes test data, and performs electrical calculations to determine source of problems and the corrective action to take.
∎ Uses various electrical test instruments to determine power requirements and availability
∎ Perform preventative maintenance repairs and emergency maintenance on electrical equipment.
∎ Respond to emergency requests.
∎ Inform customers of job status, reasons for and duration of expected delays, as well as refer customers to the supervisor when appropriate.
∎ Specify, estimate, and install equipment, wiring, and systems in accordance with applicable standards and requirements
∎ Direct and provide guidance and mentorship to lower level electricians.
∎ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
∎ Provides technical support, oversees and/or assists with repairs of all facility systems and equipment
∎ Reviews and evaluates operating performance of equipment including HVAC, plumbing, lighting and electrical plants. Ensures all equipment is maintained accordingly and proper preventative maintenance is conducted.
∎ Monitors repair activity of equipment to minimize downtime and disruption to facility event activity and overall operation.
∎ Analyze needs and plan preventative maintenance programs and system upgrades.
∎ Investigates, analyzes and resolves operational issues; responds to inquiries and complaints; interprets and explains policies and procedures; plans and implements adjustments, improvements and solutions.
∎ Works extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
