Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced and results-driven Electrical Engineer. To do well in this role you should be a licensed professional engineer and have extensive experience as an electrical engineer. As an Electrical Engineer for the engineering department you would be assisting the Chief Engineer on his day to day activities, Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment and engineering facilities.
∎ Also to ensure that there is no breakdown of the engineering systems and inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained on regular basis.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Managing power generation, transmission and distribution.
∎ Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
∎ Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
∎ Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
∎ Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
∎ Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
∎ Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
∎ Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
∎ Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
∎ Supervising or training project team members.
∎ Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
∎ Maintaining electrical equipment.
∎ Working with a variety of technicians.
∎ Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical developments.
∎ Drawing up project plans, making models, prototypes and circuit diagrams for high and low voltage electrical equipment.
∎ Budgeting and estimating timescales.
∎ Testing installations and systems.
∎ Ensuring projects meet safety regulations.
∎ Able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
∎ Working in factories, power stations, or research facilities, in a workshop, an office or outdoors.
∎ Working with high and low voltage equipment; and managing power generation, transmission and distribution.
∎ Developing electrical equipment and power distribution equipment specifications, as well as preparing electrical load calculations for single and three phase loads.
∎ Utilizing experience with power system analysis tool to prepare electrical single line drawings, schematics and detail drawings as required.
∎ All other duties as directed by the Higher Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ 5 Years of full-time satisfactory experience as an Electrical Engineer.
∎ Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
∎ Proven expertise as an electrical engineer.
∎ Deep knowledge of electrical Wiring, Power Supply, Maintenance of Substation, Load Calculation
∎ Estimate & Design.
∎ Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
∎ Problem-solving abilities.
∎ Attention to detail.
∎ Strong organizational and communication skills.
∎ Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
