Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Education (M.Ed)
∎ The applicants should have a university degree in education or international law. Bachelor's degree also desirable.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Take lead in ensuring ECD, LCFA and prevocational skills training activity implementation within the allocated camps.
∎ Support in building the capacity of Education officers in ECDiE, LCFA, and pre-vocation pathways including Coaching with clear standards of accountability.
∎ Support teams to generate work plans and reports
∎ Ensure cross departmental coordination is taking place between Education team, Child protection, GBV at field level implementation.
∎ Ensure all education projects installations including learning centres, vocational centres, ECD centres do meet grant and sector requirements.
∎ Work with the Human Resources team on recruitment and orientation for staff including teachers and instructors.
∎ Ensure that teachers and field staff know grant/donors regulations, Education sector standards, government education standards and do comply.
∎ Ensure staff compliance with the child safeguarding policy ( this include visitors and media protocols, partnering with communities and other agencies or CBOs and children participation)
∎ Generate activity based concept notes and budgets and produce quality activity reports while maintaining accurate spending reports and up-to-date budgets.
∎ Monitor allocated projects' budgets
∎ Support staff to generate activity and project implementations plans.
∎ Ensure all education activities and installations refer to INEE standards and the Education sector standards.
∎ Facilitate community engagement and participation in project activities including Community based committees.
∎ Ensure a child friendly feedback and response mechanism from areas of implementation.
∎ Support establishment of education data for the respective project locations to inform the education sector and donor reporting
∎ Develop strategic activities for teachers, instructors, centre committees, guards so as to ensure knowledge in child safeguarding including PSEA, disaster risk reduction and social cohesion
∎ Supervise and control all projects' activities as set out in the education action Plan.
∎ Facilitate field level donors field visit
∎ Facilitate effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in compliance with grants' agreements, minimum standards and tools
∎ Support the baseline and evaluation processes in liaison with DM&E for the different child protection projects targeting refugees and host communities
∎ Facilitated allocated projects' information and documentation processes, and ensure effective communication of the project results.
∎ Ensure WV participation in assessments in close coordination with the projects' teams to feed into design team during the drafting of the new proposals, making sure it matches with the program objectives and donors requirements.
∎ Work closely with the team to generate proposals and reports
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 2 -3 year experience in education and emergency response
∎ Proficient English communication skills (both oral and written)
∎ Advance knowledge of INEE standards, the education sector standard and guidelines on education, Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct
∎ Strong interpersonal relationship and team building back ground
∎ Excellent analytical, documentation, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
∎ Possess the ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive collaboration and relationship.
∎ Must be ready to work in a multi-cultural environment
∎ Familiar with alternative learning opportunities for children above 14 years, adolescent and youth development initiatives.
∎ Appropriate communication skill and approachable
∎ Must have no history of violation of children rights
∎ Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
∎ Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
∎ Working with computer data and data management
∎ Past exposure to the Rohingya refugee situation and context with host community
∎ Awareness of disaster risk reduction
∎ Past working experience in team and collaboration with partners
∎ Must be willing and able to travel in camp locations in Ukhia
∎ Project locations are in remote areas in the refugee camp.
∎ Staff is expected to live in his/her base location.
