• At least 5 years’ driving experience with different types of vehicles

• Good vision, hearing, and overall health.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent driving skills in any situation

• Sound understanding of traffic rules, road signals and BRTA rules & regulations

• Positive attitude and always ready to provide support

• Should have knowledge about technology, e.g. smartphones, google maps, GPS etc. to reach destinations efficiently.

• Good communication skills and a customer focused mindset

Responsibilities & Context:

The Driver will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient driving that confirming the safety of passengers, goods and materials. His/her responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle. S/he will follow the traffic rules correctly following the right route and ensure the vehicle is fit to travel before starting.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles with full care in a most reliable and safe way

• Ensure all driving rules and regulations of Jhpiego and BRTA are strictly followed

• Ensure daily routine checkup e.g. fuel, mobil, brakes, tires, first aid box and clean the vehicle on a regular basis

• Make sure all fitness of vehicle is up to date and check before starting any trip

• Maintain travel logbook and submit report to supervisor on a regular basis

• Carry and deliver letters externally as and when required.

• Prepare fuel consumption statement periodically and submit it to the supervisor

• Always keep updated legal papers in vehicle, e.g. blue book, tax token, fitness certificate etc.

• Inform the Supervisor of any accidental case as soon as possible.

• Load and unload materials from vehicle when necessary.

• Support passengers for any kind of assistance they need, e.g. carry bags, documents and other belongings they have

• Ensure passengers have fasten their seatbelt before the trip

Any other job related to the function will be allocated as and when required by the Supervisor.
