∎ MBBS with good academic records and a certification in family medicine, or emergency care, or occupational health.

∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ At least 8-10 years out of which more than 5 years in leadership role in Medical Service Administration or HealthCare Industry.
∎ Preference: Retired personnel from Armed Forces with/without medical background and active personnel from corporate sector with medical background.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversees the operation and success of medical services, hospital departments, clinical training services and blood banks.
∎ Managed the hospital budget.
∎ Assists in the training and promotion of the medical staff.
∎ Ensures that the medical staff and facility comply with the BMDC rules, regulations and codes.
∎ Enhances cooperation between Nurses, Physicians and relevant medical departments.
∎ Evaluates the coordination of the medical team to ensure the success of the institution.
∎ Ensures that licenses are up to date, thus prevents the prosecution or termination of the hospital's services to the public.
∎ Evaluates and diffused any tension that arises in medical units.
∎ Recruits and manages physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other medical and non-medical staff.
∎ Examines and coordinates the facility's activities to guarantee medical quality.
∎ Assists with training, continuing education, and promotion of subordinate staff.
∎ Liaises with medical and non-medical departments and enhances relationships with vendors.
∎ Updates, amends, and replaces medical policies with the advice of the medical board and BoD.
∎ Develops cooperation between physicians, paramedics, nurses, and medical departments.
∎ Evaluates and manages any dysfunction of medical units.
∎ Keeps medical knowledge, experience, and licenses up-to-date.
∎ Updated the facilities using latest technologies and modern automated medical equipment.
∎ Job Context
∎ Medical Director having good managerial and organizational skills, as well as excellent medical knowledge and training, is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a healthcare facility. His duties include reviewing healthcare laws and regulations to implement in daily practices, monitoring facility or department budgets and developing strategies to improve communication between medical professionals and patients.
