Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
∎ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and quality assurance protocols.
∎ Collaborate with the Director of Lab Services to develop and implement policies and procedures.
∎ Manage and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
∎ Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance, identifying areas for improvement.
∎ Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of lab results, addressing any issues that may arise.
∎ Manage the laboratory budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
∎ Stay current with advancements in laboratory technology and practices, recommending updates as necessary.
∎ Coordinate with other departments to support patient care and diagnostic needs.
∎ Position Overview: The Deputy Director of Lab Services will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, a deep understanding of diagnostic procedures, and a commitment to maintaining the quality and integrity of lab results.
