Experience:

• The ideal candidate must possess a BSc in Agriculture with an MS in Genetics and Plant Breeding /Horticulture/ Crop Physiology/ Botany/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Seed Technology/ Agricultural Extension with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or a Second Class/ Division (or equivalent) in all academic examinations from any reputed university

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Research Organization

• Age, education, and experience criteria may be relaxed for highly potential candidates

• PhD in Plant Science will be an advantage

• Have knowledge in seed production of parental lines, parent improvement, purity observation

• Have knowledge about roughing, pollination, crossing, pest and disease control

• Able to adjust in new environment and communication

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging environments

• Increase and ensure maintenance of different breeding lines, pure lines, germplasm and identify desirable traits

• Identify desirable biotic and abiotic stress tolerant straits within the genotypes

• Maintain regular connectivity with the research unit heads (rice, maize and vegetables)

• Ensure sourcing of new germplasm from farmers field, research field and segregating populations

• Ensure data collection of different ongoing research activities directly and also analyze all data and share with supervisor

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

• Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
